Episode 12: Striking Chicago teachers speaking for themselves
In this episode we interview Chicago elementary teacher Andrea Parker. Andrea is also a host of the Chicago Teachers Union Speaks! Podcast. She discusses the context for their current round of negotiations and their strike and what it is that they are fighting for to transform public education in Chicago.

The report was prepared by the labour relations body of the local government but provides an idea of the specific demands being made. It was produced in August of 2019 prior to the current strike.
